Publisher

Who publishes this

WheyProteinPowder.org is published by EnergyFirst, the company that manufactures ProEnergy Whey Protein Isolate. That is the reason ProEnergy appears in our comparisons and the reason it ranks first in them.

We are telling you this at the top of the page rather than in a footer, because a comparison site that hides its ownership is worth nothing. What we can offer instead of independence is a published method. The six criteria below are the same six applied to every product on the site, they are stated in enough detail that you can apply them yourself, and the two criteria where ProEnergy scores below nine are named explicitly in its review.

All editorial content, scoring, buyer’s guides, explainers, comparison commentary, recipes, and FAQ answers are published under this site’s own masthead. We do not invent authors, personas, customers, or testimonials. Every customer figure and quote on the site is sourced from a named review platform and links to it.
Method

How we score

Protein purity

Protein as a percentage of scoop weight, and whether the form is isolate, concentrate, or a blend.

HIGH: 90% or more protein by weight from a single named isolate.
LOW: Under 70% by weight, or a blend that hides the ratio behind a proprietary label.

Ingredient quality

Sourcing of the milk, filtration method, and how many ingredients exist purely to bulk the powder out.
HIGH: Grass pasture fed, cold processed, five or fewer ingredients.
LOW: Unstated sourcing, heat processed, gums and fillers stacked three deep.

Sweetener profile

What supplies the sweetness, and how many grams of sugar and sugar alcohol come with it.

HIGH: Zero sugar, sweetened with stevia or monk fruit, no sugar alcohols.
LOW: Sucralose or acesulfame potassium, or more than 3g of added sugar.

Transparency

Panel clarity, published third-party testing, and how much the brand says about where the milk comes from.
HIGH: Batch level test results published and easy to find from the product page.
LOW: Proprietary blends, no test data, no sourcing detail.

Taste and mixability

Drawn from aggregated buyer feedback across review platforms, not from our own palate.
HIGH: Consistently reported as clean tasting and lump free in water.
LOW: Recurring reports of chalkiness, clumping, or an aftertaste that dominates.

Value per gram

Cost per gram of protein at the best generally available price. Not cost per jar.
HIGH: Under $0.05 per gram of protein.

LOW: Above $0.10 per gram of protein with no offsetting quality argument.

Each criterion scores 0 to 10, all six are weighted equally, and the average is rounded to one decimal place. We do not score packaging, brand heritage, or marketing quality. Where a figure cannot be verified at source, the product carries no score on that criterion and the cell is left blank rather than estimated.

Revenue

How we make money
